Busy weekend again. Photo heavy post.

Starting on friday it was a matter of juggling kids, going to marketing meeting, getting a shop to buy and display one of our gazebos (huge success), going to pet shop, getting lunch at 2.30pm, picking up kids, then getting down to do comp work for business. Oh and normal family night time stuff.
Saturday was the best.
Dropped mr 8 and mr14 off at my nannas house in the city. They spent the day with her, talking her ear off, eating all her food and being spoilt big time. Lots of cuggles too.
Mum and I went to the Stitches and Craft Show at Darling Harbour. I loved looking at all the quilts. There were a bigger display this year and more feature quilts than traditional. There were more knitting related stores this year I believe and I also noticed there were alot of Asian influenced crafts there which were interesting. Only managed to grab a few pics. Credit goes to the creators but I didnt grab the names.
Lawrence Hargrave Drive (sp?)

Cows on a beach. Cool!

Meekats in honour of the Zoo (we love that ad)

Bird/dress creation. Unique to say the least.

Egyptian quilt (mr14 has a fasination with Egypt)
Took this pic cause it looks lovely.
If these were real you'd have to hug everyone.
This was a quilt at a stand, I've contacted the compay cause I want to make one for my bed. I collect these fairy statues. It'd be perfect in my room.
Then mum and I went to WWKIP at Darling Harbour. We had a lovely time, met alot of new people who were lovely and talked more than knitted. Here's a few pics.

After WWKIP we hopped a cab and went to Myer where Mrs Fields is. The service there sucked but the cookies were awesome. It was my gift to my dh cause he didnt winge about my big day out. (He had to go to work and pick up cadet).
Oppisite Mrs Fields is a lolly shop. They sell all American lollys, only brought a 2 cause as normal they arent cheap.

Also saw the Apple store for the 1st time. Man that place is huge. Crap photos sorry.

Went to pick up boys from Nans house (she lives near the Rocks). Boys had great time and we drove the 2hrs home (with a stop at a Newtown chemist cause mr8 had asthma attack cause of cold air, he is fine now).
Sunday was spent bleeching walls. Shockingly two teen boys thoroughly cleaned their room. Yes amazing!!! I'm talking shelves, tv area, computer area, beds, under beds, carpet, everything. And they bleeched all the mould, it was everywhere but gone now and refilled Hippos.
Today was back to normal, with school, gym, accountant, food shop, paying bills and tolls, organise business stuff and only half finnished.
Knitting?.... I'll fit that in tonight while watching Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters.
Everyone who gets the Illawarra Advertiser this Wednesday check out my half page ad for Gazebos Galore, show your friends, show your family, show everyone.

Also got ad in Fridays Mercury TV Guide.

Over due post

Okay here is the long awaited over due post.

Today was SnB at Wollongong Novotel, I went with my mum and mr14. It was a lovely relaxing afternoon, lots of chatting, knitting and more chatting. Here's a few pics of the day.

Also today mr 8 traded in his 2nd hand ebay pink rusty bunk bed (pink cause I planned on painting it but never got around to it) and upgraded to a tubular blue bed. His now tiny room looks like a larger tiny room.

This is mr8's protector, my mum brought it for him for his birthday last year and since then it has stood at the end of his bed. Freeky sometimes but...

*Note the blanket, I made it for him several years ago but I think I'll add a row or two to widen it to tuck into the underside of the bed. I like my kids to be snuggly.

This is my yarn/knitting corner, it's situated next to my arm chair recliner and is the best place to knit esp on a cold rainy day with a cozy blanket.

This is the truck parked at the end of our street, it was 2houses long, really cool in kid terms.

Ps. Ive updated our Gazebos Galore website.

Busy all the time

As mentioned before I am now doing loads of stuff for our business.

I am now the owner of an ad in the Illawarra issue of RealEstateWorld.com.au (the real estate mag they have on stands outside real estates and also at petrol stations. My ad is top left corner of inside back page.

I also have an ad in the Trading Post.

Not post will be craft worthy.

Oh my charity squares are steadily growing. Think I've got about 20 done now. So simple and easy and an excellent way to use up funky wool that's barely usefull for anything.

Another Busy Weekend

This is mr8 about 9.30pm on Friday night.

With 1 son at Cadet camp all weekend and DH working 2 kids and I went to meet my mum and nan at Rockdale Sizzlers for an early Mothers Day lunch. It was relatively cheaps and we ate our money worth (or atleast mr14 did).

I gave Nan her photo album which she loved and also some Elizabeth Arden perfume. I also gave my mum a pair of lovely warm UGH Slippers. We had a nice lunch and lots and lots of cuggles.

Then the 3 of us drove home to pick up DH and we drove to Appin to a friends house. We had pizza, a good chat and watched the latest Mummy movie on Blu Ray. Really good movie. Drove home and got into bed around 11.45pm.

Today mr14 and I went to the Illawarra Craft Show at Dapto Ribbonwood center. There were lots of beads, cards, dolls, quilts and knitting there. Here are some photos. I didnt get the names of people who made them but all the credit to them.

1st here are my toys in the middle of Knit and Knatters show display.

I love the colours in this quilt.

I took this photo for 2 reasons:
1. Being the lady who drew the sketches of the flowers with the butterfly and bee on it is a lady from Knit N Knatter who is really nice. I believe her other sketches I've seen are much more pretty but these are geat too.
2. The quilt though I dont know who its by is Awesome. We love dragons and these ones are great.

A close up of one dragon.

This quilt has embroidered Glittery Butterflies. Very nice!

I also love this painting. It's definately my style.
I forgot the name of this quilt but I again know the lady who made it.
She crafted all the butterflys herself and they are 3D. Very cool!!!
